Our Action
A campaign aimed at raising awareness on the harmful effects of alcohol consumption. This is an initiative taken by the teenage volunteers of the organisation.
As part of World Cancer Day, the I LIVE FOR ME non-profit organization is putting together a campaign entitled #Giveit whereby individuals are called to take part so as to raise awareness regarding cancer prevention. Simply upload a picture or video of a bad habit that you're willing to quit on Facebook (e.g. quitting smoking), or a good habit that you're willing to start that is related to cancer (e.g. exercise, or supporting a friend who is going through cancer treatment). Your post should read: "I am supporting the #GiveIt campaign of I LIVE FOR ME for cancer prevention" followed by the hashtags #GiveItUp or #GiveItAGo depending on whether you're giving up a bad habit or giving something positive a go. Don't forget to also add the hashtags #ILIVEFORME #Giveit before nominating a friend to do the same thing. The aim is to get as many people on board as possible.
The campaign starts on 4th February, World Cancer Day and will run through till 5th June, World Cancer Survivors Day. A series of actions will take place during this period in the form of speeches in schools & companies, seminars for patients and their families, followed by other targeted and informative measures.
Ambassadors of this campaign are actors Tonia Sotiropoulou and Alexis Georgoulis, both of whom embraced the cause with enthusiasm and immense support. Tonia Sotiropoulou has been a supporter of the organization from the get-go as she has taken part in several past campaigns. Alexis Georgoulis is working with us for the first time but with great professionalism and care for this worthwhile cause.
We would like to thank our supporters: IATROPOLIS Medical Group, ASFALEIAI MINETTA Insurance and FOURLIS Group of Companies
